Some background
These are the personal commentaries of a nearly retired Australian on a range of matters ranging from economics to politics and the law. They are meant to try and help me process what is going on around me and I do not profess any great degree of insight or experience – as you will probably detect.
During my life I have lived in a range of countries extending from Asia, to Eastern and Western Europe and whilst I have found things to admire about the people and cultures of all the countries I have lived in I find Australia the closest to perfect, but you would expect that from somewhat raised here. Certainly, there is much to value and treat with the utmost respect in terms of what we have now, and how we should plan for the future.
